| At this point, my gaming group was rapidly completing campaigns and rotating Dungeon Masters so we were creating characters relatively frequently. A couple of our players were "Min-Maxing" their characters and it became a struggle for the DMs to keep characters new and distinct. While I was concentrating on other issues, this poll ran for six months. A lot of comments, emails, and even guestbook entries were generated by other gamers' opinions. This poll generated a lot of discussion on my message board as well as arguments within my own gaming group. It prompted me and another DM to toy with creating random background tables that we have been refining and play testing for years. |
