Alamael (Lesser Goddess)
The Patient One

Symbol: Cross Splint
Alignment: Neutral Good
Portfolio: Honor, Weather, Sky
Worshipers: Paladins, soldiers, medicants
Cleric Alignment: LG, NG, CG, N
Domains: Good, Law, Protection, Water
Favored Weapon: Spear

Amalael is the goddess of patient defense who teaches that one need not rush headlong against a foe but making them crash upon the spears of a prepared defense. Female warriors often pray to her for guidance. She is the protector of the weak and guardian of the peaceful ones.

Followers often seek inner peace and are considered aloof and somewhat distanced from the happenings surrounding them. Water features and pools are often found decorating temples and shrines to Amalael. Her high priests have known to spend hours simply staring into the waters insisting that they spend that time within the presence of their goddess.

History/Relationships: Alamael first appears in the oldest writings of Traykon, mentioned in the Peregrin Diaries. In general, Alamael considers all other gods who stand against evil to be allies, while those deities who promote suffering and evil she regards as foes. There is a special relationship between her, Arum, and Volac since all three deities are worshiped by holy warriors and fighters.

Dogma: Her clerics teach that it is often easier to flow and bend against an onslaught before moving to destroy the threat. Like the waves of the great oceans, her clerics teach that the patient hand can break down any foe. Although warlike, her priests are never quick to act and tend to think through the possible consequences before committing to an action.
