Dragon War began. Hundreds of
dragons of all types take to the skies and begin "cleansing" the
world of Teledorn. Many races
see the dragons as a liberating force but are destroyed as well when they
try to approach the great wyrms. |

last city of Teledorn is burned to ash. The royal family and the last servitors of the old kingdom kill
many of the dragons before overtaken in the carnage. Teledorn is no more. |

The
independent cities fall to the Dragon Attacks. Races unite to try and drive off the Dragon's ire. |

The
Empire begins systematically ridding it's continent of all negative
influences. Using physical
might and ancient magic, they manage to destroy all dragons in their land.
Not satisfied with that level of carnage, they turn their
destructive powers inward and cleanse the land of the last vestige of rebellion
and the last halflings are sacrificed to their dark power. Gnomes, Humans, and Orcs are now a slave race as Elves and Dwarves
survive as serfs on Yuan-ti land. |

of the last remaining colleges of magic gathers all scattered mages it can
together to form the kingdom of Valislad. The kingdom is ruled by a magocracy that sets about magically
appeasing the Dragons. |

Compact is signed. The
dragons retire to places of their choosing to live without humanoid interference. |

All
humans and elves are expelled from the Viarac Mountain range as Dragon's
take control of the Volcanoes. Dwarves are kept as slave laborers

The secret of Runework is guarded jealously by Kadon. He tattoos his

expels Kadon for not sharing his secret. He is branded a renegade
warlock and a bounty is placed on his head. Kadon goes into hiding
in his native Valislad. Kadon is embraced by the populace as their
rightful ruler. |

empress of Valislad is murdered. Kadon is crowned emperor of the
kingdom. He forms a group of mages known as Runeweavers to
administrate his kingdom. |

Valislad
has grown in size to encompass most of the continent. Only the
Dragon Mountains and the Frostmarsh are exempt from their control. |

Kadon
is pronounced dead from an exotic magical disease. His body is
entombed in the great Vault of Kings. |

Saracman disappears from the guild. |

King
Reoric Whitebeard leads the unified barbarian tribes of the Frostmarsh in
a raid of Valislad's northern fortresses where the emperor's elite troops
are forced out of the barbarian kingdoms. Valislad looses interest
in gaining control of the Frostmarsh. |

Mage
Saracman returns from self-exile as a lich. He takes control of his
former guild now called the Mystics. He reworks his guild and sets
his followers to building fortresses. |

Runeweavers
expel Mystics from their borders. |

Mystics
begin gathering in their strongholds. The Runeweavers attack the
strongholds fearing Saracman's amassed power. Magewars begin. |

Valislad's
great cathedral is build as a testament to magic. Created completely
by magic, citizens come from all over the kingdom to seek their fortunes
in the gladiatorial and magical games. |

Krond's
great fortress was finished. |

Mystics
overrun the borders of Valislad. Saracman leads an assault on the
Vault of Kings. Witnesses say that the tomb of Kadon was empty.
Saracman is enraged and destroys the Vault and much of the surrounding
countryside. |

Rexan
BloodAxe, great Orc chieftain unites the clans and pushes human
encroachment out of the Northeast plains. Valislad has now lost all
power in the Northern Lands. Many people fleeing the Magewars enter
into the Northern mountains attempting to find freedom. |

The
Year of Sorrows. This year carried the greatest tragedies of the
Magewar to date. The Knights of Thorne lose their power and disappear
from the scene. Many believe that the demi-god Thorne grew angry at
the treatment of his chosen and withdrew his power as a punishment.
The city of Querana is destroyed in a ball of green flame. Survivors
claim that they saw Demons fighting Celestials above the temple of Wee Jas
right before the explosion. The Great Death swept across the land.
This plague was magical in origin but none could find a cure. It
claimed the life of nearly one third of the populace. The
priesthoods of Boccob, Wee Jas, and Vecna are hit hard by the plague and
many worshipers leave these gods fearing divine retribution. |

Priesthood
of T'lor becomes known. They are lead by Erin the Bold, former
paladin of Pelor. They begin speaking out against the mages and are
considered insane by the people of Valislad. |

Erin
the Bold is burned alive by an angry mob outside Valislad's great
cathedral. His last words to his followers foretold a dark day soon
to come when the world would weep at the destruction brought about by
magic. |

Order
of Erin established. The order seeks to know the mind of the gods
and divine the future of the world. Few know of the order and most
of those do not believe it has any merit. |

Ice
Keep was populated by the Frost Giants of the North. |

On
the orders of the Runeweavers, the T'loric priests are rounded up and
burned in the streets of the cities. |

Witnesses
in the Runeweavers inner circle say that Kadon appears to the group and
gives them more runes to work into their magic. This rumor is
quickly quashed by the Runeweaver's Hierarchy as hysterics. They
start a new offensive against the Mystics. |

The
Runeweavers stage a surprise attack against Saracman's southern
stronghold. They destroy his otherworldly guards and breach the
inner citadel. In a last ditch effort to strike against the
Runeweavers, Saracman unleashes his power and creates a magical cataclysm.
The whole southern end of the continent is turned into a wasteland.
The capital of Valislad is destroyed as well as thousands of lives.
The Dragon Mountains in the center of the continent contain the magic and
only the northern portion of the continent escapes the ravages of
Saracman's revenge. |

The day becomes known as the Day of Sending. |

powerful wizard from a far away land builds a citadel in the northern
mountains. Citizens all over
Traykon begin trading rumors and stories about him as he is the first true
"mage" to arise in a generation. His seeming resistance to the Veil fuels rumors and interest in the
T'loric religion is rekindled. |

A
strange withering plague escapes the great swamp and whole villages are
decimated. The southland is
crippled by the plague. The
plague lasts for only two months and then mysteriously disappears, leaving
thousands dead. The origin of
the plague and the reason for its sudden cessation is not known. |

Year
of Fire: A great rain of
fiery balls descends from the heaven across all of Traykon. Some sages and scholars believe it may have been a natural
phenomenon, but most religious leaders claim it is a sign from the gods of
dark times ahead. The newly
re-risen T'loric priesthood says it is the work of mages as they work to
circumvent the divine Veil holding their power in check. Hundreds are stoned to death or burned at the stake for
being suspected of practicing arcane arts. |
